At the heart of our scholarship program is gaining a second home and community at SoLa. Our ecosystem of support is designed to drive our scholars to the graduation finish line while maintaining strong ties to their roots.

COLLEGE SUPPORT
SoLa Scholars receive financial support ranging from $10,000 to a full-ride scholarship, ensuring they can pursue higher education with reduced financial stress. Scholars also receive annual care packages and ongoing mentorship with personalized 1:1 guidance throughout their college journey.

COMMUNITY CONNECTION
Our scholars stay connected through seasonal newsletters, community-building events, and ongoing digital engagement. Scholars can join online groups via LinkedIn or stay connected with us via Instagram to build relationships, find support, and strengthen their sense of community.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Scholars gain exclusive access to career opportunities, professional growth events, and the SoLa Scholars Portal—a central hub for community stories, important scholarship information, and a variety of resources. They also receive personalized career and résumé coaching to prepare them for the workforce.
THE MILLER FULL RIDE SCHOLARSHIP
The Miller Full-Ride Scholarship was established to close the financial gap for South LA students specifically accepted to top-ranking universities, ensuring they have the opportunity to take the seat at the table that they earned without financial barriers.
