ABOUT

Art in Action is a 12-week fellowship that explores the intersection of art and activism through workshops, guest speakers, and exclusive field trips featuring prominent artists and local creatives.

We welcome young artists ages 15-22 from South Los Angeles who are passionate about using their creative practice as a tool for community impact.

​

  • Working in any 2D or 3D medium — visual art, photography, murals, illustration, design, filmmaker, or mixed media

  • Motivated by social justice, activism, or community storytelling

  • Committed to attending weekly sessions and completing a final project

  • No prior professional experience required — just drive and curiosity

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be between the ages of 15-22

  • Must be able to attend in-person meetings at the SoLa AI & Entertainment Center powered by Live Nation (4611 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90043)

CLASS TIME 

  • Mondays & Wednesdays

  • 6 pm - 8 pm

  • August 31 - December 11
